To address this within the intellectual and doctrinal framework of Ayatollah Khamenei (QR), this study, employing a descriptive-analytical approach and centering its analysis on the Holy Qur'an and His Eminence's own words, seeks to identify and articulate these requirements.
The article answers the central question: "What are the requirements for research and inquiry into the Holy Quran?" This is by outlining a set of fundamental pillars: the Qur'anic knowledge; the centrality of the Qur'an; a return to the traditions of the Infallibles (peace be upon them) coupled with critical scrutiny; uncovering the underlying structure governing the Qur'anic text; grasping the Qur'an’s progressive and transformative nature; and engaging with its inner meanings, its illuminating quality, and the cultivation of a spiritual intimacy with it, all while according due importance to Qur'anic sciences and their authoritative role.
