This article seeks to provide a comprehensive definition of the nature of arrogance, analyzing its dimensions and linguistic connotations, addressing the types of this phenomenon, its roots, the factors that led to its emergence, and its consequences. The article's methodology relies on textual analysis of relevant Qur'anic verses, comparing the term "arrogance" with similar terms of connotation, to conclude that "religious arrogance" is the primary root of all other forms of arrogance. It also demonstrates that the dominance of arrogant classes, the power of military and economic forces, coupled with disregard for Allah and ignorance of His power, constitute the most significant factors in the emergence of this ominous social phenomenon.
